Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning Checklist

Whole Home / General Areas

• Dust and wipe all surfaces, including baseboards and trim
• Remove cobwebs from ceilings, corners, and vents
• Clean ceiling fans and light fixtures
• Dust and clean blinds/shutters
• Wipe doors, door frames, and knobs
• Clean interior windows and tracks
• Vacuum carpets and mop all hard flooring
• Clean inside closets and shelving
• Wipe down walls or spot clean as needed
• Empty and sanitize all trash bins
• Clean air vents and return covers
• Clean behind and under appliances (if accessible)

Kitchen

• Clean inside and outside of cabinets and drawers
• Scrub countertops and backsplash
• Clean and disinfect sink and faucet
• Clean inside and outside of all appliances: Refrigerator, Oven & stovetop, Microwave, Dishwasher
• Clean hood vent and filter (if applicable)
• Sanitize trash can
• Sweep and mop floors

Bathrooms

• Scrub and disinfect toilet (entire unit)
• Clean sinks, countertops, and faucets
• Scrub shower, tub, and tiles
• Remove hard water stains, soap scum, and mildew
• Clean mirrors and glass surfaces
• Clean inside and outside of cabinets and drawers
• Wipe light switches and fixtures
• Empty and sanitize trash bins
• Sweep and mop floors

Bedrooms & Living Spaces

• Dust and clean all surfaces
• Clean closets inside and out
• Vacuum carpets and mop floors
• Clean windows, tracks, and ledges
• Wipe doors, handles, and light switches
• Clean baseboards and trim
• Spot clean walls as needed
